Bible Book Store
The other day I ended up going to the Bible Book Store in a small nearby town, just for 1 workbook. I ended up with $130 later with some great Bible studies, books to read, a new bible, and a few bookmarks. I couldn't believe it! I was excited though. Now I have all of these books, but where is it that I start? Yesterday, I openned up the new bible that I bought "The Message" version. Read a little out of Proverbs, then I crossed referenced it to a new book that I bought: "Maps" to the Bible. Really good and interesting book. I now have the workbook to "A Woman after God's Own Heart."
I am taking a leadership class, and I bought this study guide to help me enhance these types of skills.
A different version of the bible.
I thought that this would be very interesting.
This isn't the book, but it's about giving. I got it for my youngest for bday! Comes with a CD.
I got so much more books, it was so much fun going through the selves and selves of books. Love books to read!

I love buying books. I also get carried away on used books through e-bay and Amazon.com. I read the Message through last year, it was refreshing especially in the Old Testament. I read it with my NKJV at my side.
The Message is not a Bible - but rather a restating of Scripture in a way that catches your attention. I had a hard time with the New Testament changing of Jesus words. But I think reading through various paraphrases helps in seeing things you might have missed otherwise in the more accurate translations.
Happy Thanksgiving!
